Anita Ziegerhofer
As a legal historian, Anita Ziegerhofer researches and teaches at the interface between law and history. She strives to contextualize the development of law with general political, economic and cultural history. For example, the development of constitutions from the 18th century onwards is embedded in the political history of the respective states or the European Union is traced back to its roots in the 14th century. Ziegerhofer is always on the lookout for pioneers, for example when she examines the visionaries of a united Europe or the gender dimensions of law. This also applies to the FWF project "Commentary on the Treaty of St. Germain", which ended in 2021: together with colleagues from the University of Vienna and Linz, they were the first to write such a commentary.
