Head of Section Sascha Ferz
The Section of Legal Sociology, Legal Policy, Appropriate Dispute Resolution & Mediation (ADR) covers a wide range of subjects. The subject areas include the theory of law and social justice; conflict and conflict resolution with and without third parties, conflict resolution methods; legislative theory; gender issues in law; family and civil law.
In addition to the compulsory courses, we offer a wide range of specialization courses that link up with other disciplines - such as "ADR negotiation skills and conflict management" or "Law-gender diversity". We teach in Bachelor's and Master's degree programs (Political, Economic and Legal Philosophy, Applied Ethics) and in our own continuing education courses (Mediation, LLM Business Law). In addition, we promote learning through competitions (Mock Mediation Competition - Moot Court; Mergers & Acquisition Contract Competition) or excursions to supreme courts and ministries (Make the law!).
