Graz data protection talks
The"Graz Data Protection Talks" have been taking place at the Section of Law and IT at the Department of the Foundations of Law since 2017. As part of this project, discussion rounds and lectures on current data protection law topics are organized periodically.
The content is based on the connection between the theory and practice of European and national data protection law. The Graz Data Protection Talks serve both the professional exchange among experts (science2professionals) and the information of the general public interested in data protection (science2public).
Legal-historical dialog
The "Legal History Dialogue" format was launched by Anita Ziegerhofer in the 2017 winter semester. Since then, it has taken place once a semester. Its purpose is to present a legal-historical event in a lecture and then discuss its current legal and socio-political relevance. The alumni JUC Club has been supporting our dialog since 2018! On March 21, 2023, a "Legal History Dialogue" took place on the topic of "March 1933: The End of Parliamentarism in Austria" with former Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer. The next "Legal History Dialogue" will take place on December 5, on the occasion of "70 years of the ECHR".
