Diploma theses at the Section are assigned and supervised by:

Interest in legal-historical events as well as a good grade and attendance of a seminar.
Topic of the diploma thesis
Anita Ziegerhofer conducts research in the fields of European integration law history (from the history of ideas from the 14th century to the present), the history of the development of constitutions worldwide (legal history of the modern constitutional state from the 18th century to the middle of the 20th century) and women's and gender studies (public law). Diploma theses are awarded in these areas. The topic of the thesis is chosen independently by the students.
Disposition/structure
The Diploma thesis is developed and structured independently by the students. I supervise the diploma students during this process and also during the time of writing the Diploma thesis on an ongoing basis and as desired.
Supervision offer
Ongoing supervision and BEFORE submitting the thesis, the supervisor will read the thesis several times if necessary.

Please clarify any questions regarding the research, the writing of the thesis and the desired citation style with your supervisor.
Evaluation and appraisal
Once the thesis has been uploaded to UGO, it will be reviewed by your supervisor within two months. Further information regarding the submission process can be found on the Dean's Office website.
Defensio
After completion of the thesis, a defensio takes place in the form of a discussion on sensitive issues of the thesis.

Doctoral candidates should be able to conduct research in the archives and be proficient in the Kurrent script.
