Viktor Mayer-Schönberger

Viktor Mayer-Schönberger is professor of information and innovation governance at the Uni Graz law faculty as well as professor of competitive governance at the TUM School of Social Science and Technology. Before he held a statutory professorship at the University of Oxfor for sixteen years, and was on the faculty of Harvard’s Kenndy School for a decade. His books, including “Delete”, “Big Data” (with Kenn Cukier), “Framers” (with Francis de Vericourt and Kenn Cukier) and recently “Guardrails” (with Urs Gasser) are international bestsellers, winning awards, and being translated into more than twenty languages. His articles have appeared in leading international journals, such as SCIENCE. He was a member of the German government’s digital council, and besides research and teaching, he advises international organizations, governments, and companies.
